Today was a wonderful day. I  relaxed all day while hanging out with my family. I  knitted one more pair of hand warmers, ate good food that I made yesterday, watched a movie while on the treadmill and played with my early  Christmas present. Neil is really bad at keeping my presents secret till Christmas Eve :)  

Dnes byl pohodovy den. Mela jsem od vcerejska uvareno a tak jsem jen  odpocivala v rodinnem kruhu. Upletla jsem jeste jeden par rukavic, mlsala ruzne dobroty, podivala se na Tri orisky pro popelku a Mrazika a pritom se na bezicim pasu snazila vypotit prebytecne kalorie.  Take jsem si pohrala z predcasne darovaym  vanocnim darkem, protoze Neil nevydrzel a dal mi ho uz dnes. A to nebylo poprve :)

I decorated our tree last weekend. Just starting in the picture below. 
Minuly tyden jsem zdobyla stromek.

We had two lovely parties this week. I love to entertain and cook and eat and hang out with friends and family. This was dinner with my girlfriends......

Tento tyden jsme take meli dve vanocni party. Ve stredu prisly na veceri kamaradky a vcera se u nas seslo na veceri nekolik paru znamich..... 

I would like to thank you all for visiting this blog. It is a pleasure to read all your comments and getting to know you better over the time. Yes, it feels very much like a friendship with many of you lovely ladies, that I never met in person and probably newer will., but somehow It feels like we can go for a coffee and chat all afternoon like an old friends :)   I would also like to welcome all of my new readers. The joy of Christmas season.......

S prichodem prosince se ochladilo, v noci klesaji teploty k nule a prez den se splhaji tak maximalne k 5 stupnum. Koncem tydne predpovidaji i snehove prehanky.  Ulice a vyklady se rozsvitily  a ja uz take vytahla par prvnich vanocnich dekoraci.

It got cold in December and  temperatures are dropping to zero at night and  5 degrees max during the day.There is a snow fall forecast for Thursday. Christmas light are on in the city, the stores windows are decked up and even I took out the first decorations.

 Na vcerejsi prochazce jsem nazbirala potrebny material na vyrobu vence na vchodove dvere a dnes se pustila do prace
 I collected material to make a wreath when I went for a walk yesterday and today I set to work.

A takhle vypada zaveseny na dverich.
And here it is on our front door.

Still knitting hand warmers. I am finishing an order for 21 pairs :)

DIY

Nekolik navodu DIY neboli " udelej to sam " pro ty, kteri radi tvori. Pomalu (ale jiste) se blizi vanoce a tak treba udelate nekomu radost rucne vyrobenym "sperkem".

Few DIY for all of you who like to make jewelry, and since Christmas is approaching  fast, these would make  nice gifts too.

No a co takhle hackovany venec?  Nechci tady strasit se svatky predcasne ale myslim, ze na vyrobu darku a dekorace uz opravdu zase tolik casu nezbyva :))  Uz vas to take "chyta"? Je to tezke odolat, kdyz obchody jsou plne vanocni vyzdoby a v pulce listopadu vam hraji  koledy!

And what about this crochet wreath? I don't want to push holidays on you so early, but I think that if you are making gifts and decorations yourself, there is no time to spare :)) It is hard to resist, specially when the stores are already decked up for the holidays and playing Christmas songs!

Cely dum  jeste spi a ja mam vedle sebe velky hrnek caje, vanocni cukrovi a na kline pocitac abych vam konecne poprala vesele vanoce. Tak tedy, krasne svatecni dny, plne pohody a lasky,  stul plny dobrot a nadherne chvilky stravene z rodinou a prateli.

The whole house  is still sleeping,  I am sitting on the couch with a cup of tea and a plate of Christmas cookies next to me with my laptop on my lap so I can finally wish you happy holidays!! Hope you are having wonderful time, enjoying the festivities,  relaxing and visiting with family and friends.

Christmas preparations - Vanocni pripravy

Výmena chnapek zdarile pokracuje a kdokoli by mel jeste zajem, muze se pripojit.  Rozhodla jsem se vam ukazat barevnou kombinaci v ktere jsem mou chnapku uhackovala ja. Ke komu poputuje jeste nevim, vylosuji jmena na konci mesice pro vsechny ucastnice teto vymeny.........

Our  Potholder Swap is in full swing but if you are interested you can still join in. I decided to share the color scheme in which I made my potholder. Just a little sneak peek for you guys! I will draw the names to whom you will ship your creation at the end of this month........

 Vcera jsem zacala z vanocnim tvorenim, mam predplacene misto na dvou vanocnich trzich a nic na prodej, tak si musim pospisit :)

I have started making Christmas stuff for craft fairs, I already prepaid a spot at two of them and I have nothing to sell. I better hurry up :)

Takhle vznika prvni sobik, je to muj prototip a proto ta barevna kombinace. Nechtelo se mi hned napoprve strihat do novych lnenych latek  ( fotky priste )  a tak jsem vyuzila co bylo po ruce.

This is my first try to make this moose that's why the weird color combination. I didn't want to cut into my new linen fabrics that I bought for future projects so I used what I had on hand.

 

Jeste nema prisite nozky a "nekouka",  houpaci podstavec bude dalsi  nova zkusenost. Neil me koupil motorovou pilku ( tolik novych moznosti) na vyrezavani veci ze dreva. Ted si ji alespon vyzkousim.

No legs or eyes yet and also the rocking base is missing. Another new project, Neil bought me a scroll saw ( oh, the possibilities ) and it's time for me to try it out.

Take vam musim ukazat jak mi rozkveta Azalka. Dostala jsem ji minuly rok od pritelkine ale po odkvetu jsem myslela, ze je sni konec. Cele leto  byla venku, kde jsem ji poctive prihnojovala a ted, kdyz je zase doma se rozhodla kvest.

I have to show you this Azalea that I've got last year form a friend. I thought It was going to die after it bloomed. I put it outside for the summer and fertilized it religiously when I saw the new growth. It is back in the house now and starting to bloom. 

 

 Jak jiste uz vite, rada vam vzdy prinasim nejakou novou inspiraci. A protoze vanoce se pomalu ale jiste blizi,  tady je stranka z ruznymy napady.

Dnes mi "doletel" nadherny vanocni darecek od Alenky. Jsem unesena, nikdy jsem Tildu nevidela ve skutecnosti ale tahle predcila me ocekavani!!!! Tisicere diky Ajko, andelka je uzasna a uz ma i sve mistecko :)))

Today, from wonderful Alenka this beautiful present arrived. Early Christmas present, what a treat!!! I am sooo happy, I've never seen "Tilda" other then in pictures but it exceeded my expectations . Thank you:)))

Dekuji vam vsem za krasna pranicka, jeste probihaji posledni pripravy v kuchyni ale za par hodin uz zasedneme ke stedrovecerni veceri........

Thank you for all the warm Christmas wishes, few more preparations in the kitchen and in a few hours we will sit down for our Christmas dinner....

Vanocni cas.....Christmas time......

Peceni, uklid, dekororace - vanocni pripravy v plnem proudu :) Na blogovani tedy bohuzel poslednich par tydnu nejak nezbyva cas. A kdyz je cas, radeji zaskocim na vase blogy, potesit se a podivat co noveho u vas.

Baking, cleaning, decorating - getting ready for Christmas :) Unfortunately, there was not much time to blog the last few weeks and when I have time I rather visit your blogs to see what's new.

Po novem roce se chystam na vyrobu tohoto podstavce, navod jsem nasla tady. Prkenko na syr s poklopem mam, ted uz jen musim nekde ve "frcu" najit ten spravny podstavec. Moc se mi ta promena libi, jednoduche, levne a hezke.......

My new project for next year that I found here. I already have the cheese dome and now I will have to look for some nice base. I love the transformation, simple, cheap and looking great.........

Obed - Lunch

Vcera jsme se z kamaradkami uz tradicne sesly na obed, aby jsme si vymenily vanocni darky. Spousta smichu, dobreho jidla a krasnych darku.

My girlfriends and I had our annual Christmas lunch yesterday. Lots of laugh, good food and lovely gifts.

Ptacek,ozdoba na stromecek, sala, domaci mydlo a cokolada, pletene filcovane backory, vanocni venec.......mam stesti, ze mam takove kamaradky!

Beautiful bird ornament and scarf, home made felted slippers,chocolate bark, soap, Christmas wreath.....I am a lucky girl :)) Thank you sooo much guys!
