it's snowing......

Prvni snih se letos zacal sypat o tyden driv nez lonskeho roku a musim rict, ze me opravdu prekvapilo, kdyz jsem rano vyhledla z okna a uvidela tu nadilku. Cely den stridave snezi a prsi, takze postupne taje a zase pribyva a neni ho ted odpoledne o moc vic nez rano. Protoze jsem pekne doma v teple, vubec mi to nevadi. Kolovratek alespon nezahali, bytem voni chystana vecere a ja premyslim, co sladkeho dnes upecu az dopiji kavu.....


First snow arrived a week earlier then last year and I have to say that I was surprise, when I woke up this morning and looked out the window. It's snowing and raining all day so the snow is melting and then some more falling down and in the afternoon, there is still the same amount as in the morning. I am cozy at home and don't mind this "white stuff". The spinning wheel is put to work, the house smells of supper being cook and I am contemplating, what to make for dessert after I finish my coffee......

 Vcera vecen jsem mela o zabavu postarano, vzniklo toto pradenko. Je to uzasne videt v co se vam pred ocima meni obarvene kousky vlny a dalsi barevne prekvapeni na vas ceka kdyz z pradenka neco vytvorite.

 I had a blast last night working on this skein. You never know what colors you get after you spin your dyed fleece and  to make something from it is yet another surprise.

A jedna perlicka pro milovniky Tildy. Sikovna Angeline vytvorila tuhle netradicni krasku pomoci hacku.

barveni latky - fabric dyeing

Tak tady je vysledek prirodniho barveni latky. Zacala jsem slupkami z cibule, pridala kavu potom pytlicky caje a stale se mi barva nezdala.Tak jsem do lazne pridala lzicku kurkumi, povarila asi z hrnkem octa a takhle to dopadlo . Takze to je odpoved na Mokopcinu otazku! Urcite se vrhnu do dalsiho barveni, priste vyzkousim lazen z cervene repy :)

This is the result of dyeing fabric with natural dyes. I started with onion skin, added coffee, then tea bags and still didn't like the color so I added 1 tsp. of cumin and cooked it with one cup of vinegar.I will do it again for sure, next time I'll try red beets:)

Latku jsem pouzila na saticky zajice,me prvni dilko z casopisu Tilda. I kdyz me Alenka varovala, ze "mrnata" se siji hure nez vetsi kousky i presto jsem zacala strihem mensiho zajicka a musim ji dat za pravdu!

I used the fabric to make clothes for this little rabbit, my first figure from Tilda magazine. Alenka warned me that the little figures are harder to make then the bigger ones but I chose to make the small one regardless just to find out she was right!

Tento posledni snimek je foceny v umelem svetle a barvy nejsou verne, takze se omlouvam. Prvni fotka se vzorkem latky je barevne asi nejpresnejsi.

This last picture was taken in the artificial light and the colors are not true, sorry about that. The first photo with the fabric sample is probably  the closes to the real color.

TILDA

Dnes mi "doletel" nadherny vanocni darecek od Alenky. Jsem unesena, nikdy jsem Tildu nevidela ve skutecnosti ale tahle predcila me ocekavani!!!! Tisicere diky Ajko, andelka je uzasna a uz ma i sve mistecko :)))

Today, from wonderful Alenka this beautiful present arrived. Early Christmas present, what a treat!!! I am sooo happy, I've never seen "Tilda" other then in pictures but it exceeded my expectations . Thank you:)))

Dekuji vam vsem za krasna pranicka, jeste probihaji posledni pripravy v kuchyni ale za par hodin uz zasedneme ke stedrovecerni veceri........

Thank you for all the warm Christmas wishes, few more preparations in the kitchen and in a few hours we will sit down for our Christmas dinner....
