 I like to snap pictures with my phone. It's convenient and the phone fits in my pocket. Also it's really easy to post pictures on the Instagram or Facebook right away.  But I missed  my camera so out it came again instead of my phone. Being able to take better quality photos and  "play" with the settings and lenses makes it up for the inconvenient size.

Rada fotim z telefonem protoze je maly a vejde se mi do kapsy. Je take sikovne mit moznost fotky rovnou poslat na Instagram nebo na Facebook. Ale zastesklo se mi po fotaku a tak jsem ho zase "oprasila" a zacala si hrat.



If you didn't see my kitchen before, you could probably guess which color is  the most dominant just from looking at these shelves ;)

Jestli jste nikdy nevideli mou kuchyn lehce uhodnete, ktera barva tam prevlada jen z pohledu na me policky ;)

Also I finally manage to take  pictures of these  infinity scarfs. You can find them in my fb shop.

Konecne jsem nafotila i davno dodelane saly. K dostani na me facebook strance.

And of course I had my "helper"  Charlie watching me. He follows me everywhere like a dog and he is super sweet!

No a samosebou jsem na to mela pomocnika Charliho, ktery za mnou vsude chodi jako pejsek a je hrozne mily a pritulny!

not so Lazy Days :0)

More snow and rain kept us inside, so I was working on  projects that needed to be done, which is great. I crocheted this little cotton basket.

Stale je "nasnezeno" a tak se drzime vic doma a ja mam alespon cas na me resty.  Konecne jsem si uhackovala bavlnenou misku.

Refinished this table. Actually it was a pair and they already sold.
Zrenovovala tenhle stolek. Tedy vlastne dva ( byl to par) a uz jsou prodane.

Also I just finished and listed this wooden settee yesterday. Update: The bench is sold :)

I started working on this baby blanket. This is the color theme my daughter is going for in the nursery this time . It is fun to crochet, I am making it from three strands of yarn, so it is (will be) very chunky and cozy :)

Take jsem zacala hackovat deku pro mimco v barvach, v kterych Tereza tentokrat dekoruje baby pokoj. Pouzila jsem trojitou prizi, takze prace rychle pribyva a deka je (tedy bude) krasne tlusta, mekounka no zkratka "jen se zachumlat" :)

Nejdrive se svami chci podelit a snad i zazehnout jiskricku inspirace. Kde kdo dnes hackuje ci plete a vzdy tomu tak bylo a bude ale nekdo ma  i uzasny cit pro barvy a jejich kombinaci. Potom vznikaji krasne vyrobky jako treba na tehto fotkach. Navody jsou dost nazorne a prekladac google jiste take pomuze.

I want to share these few tutorials with you. Lots of people knit and crochet. They always did and they always will, but some just have the right feeling for the color and the results are beautiful.

Modra neni moje barva a tak jsem se rozhodla usit  si maxi sukni z bile bavlny. Obkreslila jsem strih, vytahla  serger a pustila se do prace. Byla jsem hotova nez bys rekl svec :)

Blue is not my color, but  I like this maxi skirt so I decided to trace the pattern and make one I like. I took out my serger sewing machine and set to work. I used light cotton fabric, no elastic in the waist, just a band from the same fabric.....easy peasy, I was done in no time!

 Sukni budu jeste barvit ale o tom zase priste :)
 I am going to dye this skirt, I'll post about it soon :) 

Hooks and Needles

 Ani jsem si neuvedomila, jak me chybely jehlice a hacek. Po tom, co jsem pro vnoucka v nedeli usila malou hracku, jsem vcera zacala novy projekt,  uhadnete co to bude?

I didn't realize how much  I missed  my hooks and needles and after sewing the little toy for Mak, I started another project last night. It's coming along quite nicely. Can you guess what it's gonna be? 

 Trosku jsem si upravila popis ale na internetu je spousta podrobnych navodu na tuto "africkou kvetinu".

I  adjusted the pattern to my liking  but you can find a lot of good tutorials for this "african flover".

 Vcera jsem Makeefovi "predala" jeho novou velrybu a jak vidite, mela uspech, huraaa!

 I gave Makeef his new toy whale yesterday and as you can see, he did like it, hooray!  

Hackovany nahrdelnik,  prvni a zatim take posledni....napadu mam plno ale casu se stale nejak nedostava.

Crocheted necklace, first and last for now......lots of ideas but no time.

Dnes vam prinasim dve "dobroty".  Prvni, v podobe bezplatneho strihu na kabelku, kterou si chci stoprocentne usit.

I have a  few goodies for you today. First one is  this free Scalloped Dresden Bag  pattern. I thing that it's really lovely and I, for sure, will make one for myself. 

 

 Druha je navod jak "vysperkovat" obycejnou salu. Pouziva se "papir do mrazaku" ktery po vystrihnuti sablony nazehlime na latku. Po "vybarveni a zaschnuti barvy jen sloupneme a je hotovo.


 Second is this easy  tutorial   for beautifying  a simple scarf. 

 O vikendu jsme vyrazili do nedalekeho mestecka Nanaimo, kde nikdy nevynecham obchod pro kutily Michaels a nakoupim veci o kterych jsem vubec netusila, ze je  "nutne' potrebuji  :)


We went down to Nanaimo this weekend, where I always shop at Michaels store. I bought things I didn't know I needed :)

Tento mesic jsem se stala clenkou mistniho zdruzeni "pratel vlny"  a vcera poprve vyzkousela predeni. I kdyz jsem si koupila vlastni kolovratek, pronajala jsem si na mesic tento skladaci, ktery je modernejsi a hlavne prenosny.  Pustila jsem se do prace z prizi, kterou jsem sama vyprala a  ucesla. Slo to pomalu a ne dobre, ale nepocitala jsem stim, ze sednu ke kolovratku a bude ze mne zkusena pradlena.. Budu se toho muset hooodne naucit.

I also  joined  our local  Wool gatherers guild,  and yesterday, for the first time, I tried to spin some of the fleece, that I washed and carded. As I expected, it did not go very well. There is soooo much to learn!

 

Nitka se kroutila, byla tenka a tlusta, vetsinou moc " umotana" ale nevzdala jsem to a z prvnich dvou (ne moc povedenych)  klubicek vznikl tento  pleteny prouzek

The fleece was winding, thick and thin, but I kept trying. This is a sample, that I knitted from my first (not very good) balls of yarn.

Dnes se s vami rozloucim fotkami figuriny, kterou jsem si vcera koupila na foceni mych vyrobku. Nejenom sal, salu, nakrcniku a podobne ale take sperku, ktere vam snad uz v brzke dobe predvedu.

Before I say good bye, I want to show you my new "torso" I bought yesterday. I like to take photographs of my handmade stuff  and I think, that it will looks more presentable.  Hopefully, I'll be  able to show you my new necklaces soon.

Doily - Decka

Pred par dny me skolila chripka a tak polehavam, posedavam a obcas i hackuji. Pustila jsem se do teto decky, z materialu, ktery jsem jednou koupila v second hand. Myslim, ze je to vlna ale nejsem si uplne jista. Konecny vyrobek vam snad brzy ukazu, tyhle fotky vznikly uz vcera a dnes je decka zase o neco vetsi :)


I've got the flue few days ago, so I am mostly on the couch resting, which is not that bad since I have some time to crochet. I bought this yarn long time ago in the thrift store and I think that  it's  woo,  but will not know till a wash this piece. I am making a doily and I progressed even more with it, since I took these photos yesterday.
