Today was a wonderful day. I  relaxed all day while hanging out with my family. I  knitted one more pair of hand warmers, ate good food that I made yesterday, watched a movie while on the treadmill and played with my early  Christmas present. Neil is really bad at keeping my presents secret till Christmas Eve :)  

Dnes byl pohodovy den. Mela jsem od vcerejska uvareno a tak jsem jen  odpocivala v rodinnem kruhu. Upletla jsem jeste jeden par rukavic, mlsala ruzne dobroty, podivala se na Tri orisky pro popelku a Mrazika a pritom se na bezicim pasu snazila vypotit prebytecne kalorie.  Take jsem si pohrala z predcasne darovaym  vanocnim darkem, protoze Neil nevydrzel a dal mi ho uz dnes. A to nebylo poprve :)

I decorated our tree last weekend. Just starting in the picture below. 
Minuly tyden jsem zdobyla stromek.

We had two lovely parties this week. I love to entertain and cook and eat and hang out with friends and family. This was dinner with my girlfriends......

Tento tyden jsme take meli dve vanocni party. Ve stredu prisly na veceri kamaradky a vcera se u nas seslo na veceri nekolik paru znamich..... 

I would like to thank you all for visiting this blog. It is a pleasure to read all your comments and getting to know you better over the time. Yes, it feels very much like a friendship with many of you lovely ladies, that I never met in person and probably newer will., but somehow It feels like we can go for a coffee and chat all afternoon like an old friends :)   I would also like to welcome all of my new readers. Hornby Island 2013

This was probably the latest in the season that we ( my girlfriends and I) did our annual Hornby trip. As usual, we had a blast. Friday, the day we were leaving I woke up to the most beautiful winter wonderland.

Tohle bylo asi nejpozdeji v roce, co jsme se s kamaradkami vypravily na Hornby na nas kazdorocni vylet. Jako vzdy to byla parada. V patek, vden odjezdu jsem se vzbudila do snehove kralovstvi.

No school for kiddos, but Dom was up and gone first thing in the morning, hanging out with friends and enjoying the snow. He didn't even noticed the bear tracks in the snow. I've seen them next to his bike tracks when I took these photos later in the morning. It was fun to follow them and see where the bear was "wondering" at night. He did get into our trash the night before :(

Kvuli snehu nebyla skola ale Dominik odjel hned po ranu ke kamaradovi a uzivali si snehucely den. Ani se nevsiml stop medveda i kdyz s kolem projel primo vedle nich. Ty jsem objevila az ja, kdyz jsem sla pozdeji na zahradu fotit. Bylo zajimave sledovat, kde vsude medved v noci "coural". Den  predtim nam opet rozhazel cely obsah popelnice :(

There was no snow on Hornby. We had  a great dinner at the local bar Friday night with live jazz music and woke up the next day to the most beautifull sunny day. The rustic cabin is right on the beach.

Na Hornby snih nebyl. Daly jsme si dobrou veceri v mistnim baru za poslechu ziveho jazzu a druhy den rano se probudily do slunecniho dne. Chatka je primo na plazi.

 We were also very productive :)  Knitting hats, socks, mittens, and making Indian mocassins.
 Take jsme velmi produktivni :)  Pletly jsme cepice, rukavice, ponozky a sily indianske mokasiny.

Sunday afternoon....time to get back to reality.

I cant wait to go back next year, these trip with my girlfriends are very special to me ❤

The joy of Christmas season.......

S prichodem prosince se ochladilo, v noci klesaji teploty k nule a prez den se splhaji tak maximalne k 5 stupnum. Koncem tydne predpovidaji i snehove prehanky.  Ulice a vyklady se rozsvitily  a ja uz take vytahla par prvnich vanocnich dekoraci.

It got cold in December and  temperatures are dropping to zero at night and  5 degrees max during the day.There is a snow fall forecast for Thursday. Christmas light are on in the city, the stores windows are decked up and even I took out the first decorations.

 I collected material to make a wreath when I went for a walk yesterday and today I set to work.
