Donuts - Koblihy

Ve stredu pri ceste do prace nam zetak dovezl vnuka a tak jsme si ho cely den uzivali :)

 My son in law dropped off our grandson on Wednesday morning on his way to work. So we had the whole day to enjoy his visit.

 On si to uzival take :)
 He enjoyed it too :)

 Kdyz u nas byl  naposled  "objednal" si u mne cepici ala "pavoučí muž" :)

Last visit he asked me to make him a Spider-Man hat. 

 Takhle to dopadlo.....

 a tady uz cepice v akci :)  Vydali jsme se do nedalekeho lesa na prochazku.

and here is the hat "in action" :)  We went for a walk to the close by forest.

 Cely tyden je krasne slunecne pocasi ale teploty se pohybuji slabe nad nulou. Brrr.....

It is sunny all week, but just above zero and cold.....

 Ptacci jsou radi, ze maji stale naplnene krmitko.  Je zabavne je pozorovat, jen musi davat pozor na kocky. Zrovna miluly tyden to jeden chudak neprezil :(

 The birds are happy that the feeder is always full. It is entertaining to watch them, but they have to be really carefuller and look out for the cats. One didn't make it last week :(

 Nesmi chybet neco sladkeho na zub. Tady jsou koblihy podle receptu me babicky. Jsou rychle a moc dobre.



Tvarohove koblihy: 
250 měkého tvarohu
3 vejce
1 vanilkovy cukr
6 lzic rumu
200g mouky
1 prasek do peciva
spetka soli

Tvaroh utreme se zkoutky, vanilkovym cukrem a rumem. Pridame mouku se soli a kyprici prasek a nakonec snih z bilku.  Lzici vykrajujeme koblihy a peceme v rozpalenem oleji po obouch sranach do zlatova. Horke posypeme cukrem.


And something sweet to snack on. My Grandmas fast and easy Quark Cheese Donuts recipe.

Quark cheese donuts:
250 quark cheese
3 eggs
1 vanilla sugar
6 tbsp. rum
200g  flour
1 baking powder
pinch of salt

Cream the quark cheese, egg yolks, vanilla sugar and rum. Add flour,salt and baking powder, mix and fold in beaten egg whites. Drop spoonfuls of dough in the hot oil and fry on both sides till golden brown. Sprinkle with powder sugar when still hot.

 Muzeme jeste rozkrojit a naplnit marmeladou. Jen se po nich zaprasilo!
You can make a cut and fill them with jam too. They don't last long!

First, I want to share these cookies, aren't they cute?  What a great idea to use just regular star shape cookie cutter! There is more than 20 other great creations. Let me know if you make some, I would like to see them :)

Prvni dokonceny projekt tohoto roku  Rikke Hat, tentokrat pro mne. Inspiraci jsem cerpala zde, popis jsem si upravila podle vlastni potreby.

First finished project of this year, Rikke Hat, this time for myself. I was inspired by this pattern even though I did make alterations to suit my needs.

 Skywalker shawl. Po upleteni asi 15cm si stale nejsem jista, jestli parat a zacit na mensich jehlicich, nebo pokracove v pleteni. Protoze mi to ale stale lezi v hlave a  i kdyz  je to  krajkovy, takze dirkovany vzorek, myslim, ze budu parat  :(   Neni to nic hrozneho, protoze jsem teprve na zacatku ale budu muset dojet vymenit  jehlice za mensi, koupila jsem je specialne pro tuhle vlnu v kontrastni barve, aby se mi lepe pletla, tedy spis pocitala ocka.

I started my Skywalker shawl, but I am not happy with the gauge. I think I'll take it apart and start over on smaller needles. I am  not 100% sure yet, but it's bugging me and I am still at the beginning of this project so it's not really  a big deal. I bough these needles specially for this project (see the contrast color) and I will have to go and exchange them, which is a big of a drag but that's life.

Lotus hat

Pred nedavnem jsem u Jany narazila na tuhle krasnou cepici, ktera se jmenuje Lotus. Nadchl me nejenom vzor ale hlavne barva kterou Jana zvolila a tak jsem se take pustila do pleteni. Je to darek a podle toho jsem tedy vybirala barvu ja.  Mrknete u ni na preklad anglickych vyrazu a nazorne "links",  ja jen jeste dodam, ze vzor je delitelny 12 a v popisu je cepice pletena z 96 ocek. I saw this beautiful Lotus Hat at Jana's blog  and I knew I have to make one too. I love the color she chose but since I made this one for a friend, I opted for a different hue of blue. It was a fun project and even though the pattern looks complicated it really is just yarn over and knit two together that results in this intricately looking Lotus hat.

Jeste vam musim predstavit muj novy podnos z poklopem. Touzila jsem po nem dlouho a konecne jsem se dockala. Nekdy proste clovek musi byt na spravnem miste ve spravny cas :)

My new cake plate with dome lid. I wanted one for a long time and I finally  got it. Sometimes you have to be at the right place at the right time  :)

Sovi cepice - Owl hat

Cepicky ktere jsem prez vikend uhackovala.Zacalo to tim,ze me Terezka pozadala o cepicku pro Makeefa.Jenze prvni se mi zdala mala,druha zase nebyla tak prijemna na dotek jak bych si prala,treti byla ok ale pro jistotu jsem udelala jeste ctvrtou v trosku jine barevne kombinaci a nez jsem se nadala,hackovala jsem patou :) Tak si snad Terka vybere a zbytek poputuje do detskeho obchodu odkud jsem dostala nabidku,ze me "vytvory" prijmou do prodeje :)

Hats that I made over the weekend.Tereza asked me to make one for Makeef but the first one looked too small,the second one wasn't soft enuf for my taste,the third one was ok but I made the forth one in a little bit different color combination and before I know it I was making the fifth hat:)) Tereza can choose which one she likes and the rest is going into a kids store where they offer to put my stuff up for sale :)
