Summer

Nase (moje) zahrada je ma velka laska, misto pro meditaci a odpocinek ( tedy spis ten mentalni, protoze me casto boli cele telo),  ktera mi prinasi od jara do podzimu uspokojeni z dobre vykonane prace. Casto se tam "zapomenu" a vubec si neuvedomim, ze uteklo nekolik hodin. Zacala jsem zeleninou ale poslednich par let vysazuji take hodne kytek. Co neni oplocene sezerou srnky a tak i kdyz me nejdriv bylo lito mista, kde muze rust neco k snedku, kvetiny pomalu ale jiste pribyvaji.

Our(my) garden is my love,  place to relax (even thought my body often hurts after the work) and place to meditate( while working of course, lol). It gives me the satisfaction from work well done from spring to fall, I get lost in time when I am there. I am incorporating more flowers in my veggie garden last few years. I was hesitant at first to fill the space where I can grow something to eat with flowers , but  slowly the "beauty" is creeping in.

 Zvlastni vazka (videla jsem ji u nas poprve) ktera mi pripomina dvouplosne letadlo :)

Cerstvy chleb  provonel cely dum.
I love the smell of the freshly baked bread.

Mam slabost pro knizky. Dnes me zaujala tato kniha, takze skoncila v mem kosiku.Nenasla jsem ji jeste prelozenou do cestiny ale jestli mate radi dejiny/historii, jeho starsi romany jsou take velice poutave.

I love books and I love reading. Today I brought home this book and I can't wait to start reading it! It is the latest Edward Rutherfurd's book and if you like historical novels this one has the promise of satisfaction.

Black rice salad

Pocasi se konecne umoudrilo a teploty se uz druhy tyden splhaji ke tricitce. Bazen je napusteny, zahrada se meni v dzunli a ja pripravuji jidla hlavne z cerstve zeleniny a ovoce. Dnes vam nabidnu salat z cerne ryze.

Temperatures are climbing close to thirties last two weeks, the pool is up, the garden is a jungle and we are eating fresh veggies and fruits. Here is my black rice salad recipe.

 Repu dam varit do "papinaku", mezitim pokrajim rapikate casti listu repy,  mrkev a povarim.

I put the beats to cook in the pressure cooker,  meanwhile a cut the carrots and the stems of the beats  and steamed them.

Na kosticky nakrajim okurku, papriky a avokado.
Cut peppers, cucumber and avocado. 

Zelenina  a nastrouhana cervena repa.
Veggies and grated beats.

Uvarena, vychladla cerna ryze.
Cooked black rice. 

 

Vse dam do misy, pridam jeste balkansky syr, nasekane cerstve cilantro (koriandr). Osolim, opeprim, zakapnu olivovym olejem a dochutim balsamickym octem. Dobre promicham a  serviruji s kousky osmazeneho kureciho masa. Tento salat je dobry i bez kureciho masa, muzete ho jist jako samotne jidlo nebo jako prilohu.

Put everything in a bowl, add feta cheese and chopped cilantro. Salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste. Mix well and serve, it is good just like that, but I like to top it with chicken.

Dalsi dobroty letni kuchyne. Bramborovy salat me dcery z cerstvou, nevarenou zeleninou. Zeleninovy salat s quinoa a grilovana zebirka. Prijemne posezeni, pohoda......

More yummy  food. My daughters potato salad with fresh, uncooked veggies, Greek salad with quinoa  and BBQ ribs. Relaxing dinner with family, bliss....

Vnuk se zetem a jejich fenkou Luno na zahrade trhaji "bobulky" podobne boruvkam.
